Walking Beam Type Billet Reheating Furnace
A reheating furnace is a type of industrial furnace used mainly for Reheating of MS Billets for End Product of Coil, Rebar, Channels, Beams, and Angles etc.
Walking Beam type Reheating Furnaces: In this type of furnace Charge / Billets are carried forward towards discharge on water Cooled moving Beam, We can adjust stroke of cycle as per charge size. Burner fired on top and bottom of the charge. Billets were discharged from Furnace with Discharge Ejector or End Discharge is preferred in this type of furnace. Burners were fired on Top and bottom portion of Charge.
Walking Beam Quantity shall be 2 or 4 Depending on the Charge / Billet Size. Charge was rest on water cooled Fix Beam during travelling from Charging to Discharge End. Walking beam Lift the charge carry it forward and lower the charge on fixed Beam, thus charge get heated from all the sides, giving good uniform heat transfer to charge.
Temperature Control: Accurate temperature control is crucial to ensure the metal is heated uniformly and to the correct temperature. This is typically managed through sophisticated temperature monitoring and control systems. We can provide Mass Flow type temperature control for accurate measurement of Fuel and Air to control the furnace temperature accurately.
Energy Efficiency: Modern reheating furnaces are designed to be energy-efficient, often incorporating heat recovery system like RECUPERATOR to utilize the heat from exhaust gases to preheat Combustion air. We can get Hot Air Up to 400 - 450 Deg C from waste Flue Gases.
Fuel - PNG / LPG / FO / LDO
Billet Discharge - Discharge Ejector for Side Discharge / End Discharge
Charging - Hydraulic or Mechanical Charging Pusher (In walking Beam furnace Charging Pusher construction shall be light weight)
Furnace Capacity range - 6 TPH to 60 TPH
