Top and Bottom Fired Billet Reheating Furnace
A reheating furnace is a type of industrial furnace used mainly for Reheating of MS Billets for End Product of Coil, Rebar, Channels, Beams, and Angles etc.
Top and Bottom Fired Reheating Furnaces: In this type of furnace Charge / Billets are pushed forward towards discharge on water Cooled Skids. Burner fired on top and bottom of the charge. Billets were discharged from Furnace with Discharge Ejector or End Discharge is preferred in this type of furnace.
Burners were fired on Top and bottom portion of Charge. Water cooled skids Quantity shall be varied Depending on the Charge / Billet Size. Charge was pushed on water cooled skids during travelling from Charging to Discharge End. In Top and Bottom Fired furnace Billets, slabs were heated properly from all the sides, giving good uniform heat transfer to charge.
This type of furnace is normally used for Slabs and thicker section of Billets for Plate Mill.
Temperature Control: Accurate temperature control is crucial to ensure the metal is heated uniformly and to the correct temperature. This is typically managed through sophisticated temperature monitoring and control systems. We can provide Mass Flow type temperature control for accurate measurement of Fuel and Air to control the furnace temperature accurately.
Energy Efficiency: Modern reheating furnaces are designed to be energy-efficient, often incorporating heat recovery system like RECUPERATOR to utilize the heat from exhaust gases to preheat Combustion air. We can get Hot Air Up to 400 – 450 Deg C from waste Flue Gases.
Fuel - PNG / LPG / FO / LDO
Billet Discharge - End Discharge / Discharge Ejector for Side Discharge
Charging - Hydraulic or Mechanical Charging Pusher
Furnace Capacity range - 6 TPH to 60 TPH
